My Utopia
Utopia: (the idea of) a perfect society in which everyone works well with each other and is happy.
I had to think about this definition for awhile... My utopia would be a place where everyone is vegan and animals are no longer subjected to selfish human greed. In addition to many health benefits, society would have a much brighter outlook with no death on their plates.
The environmental benefits that would follow from not using animal products would be amazing. Everyone at last would use alternative sources of power, such as wind or solar power, and the air would be significantly cleaner. People would stop being dependant on cars and there would be many alternative ways to get around easily -- for example, improved mass transit, bicycles, or simply walking. The cars people would drive no longer would be an environmental hazard -- they would run on solar power, perhaps, and could be recharged, or they would use a harm-free, renewable, non-polluting fuel.
Everyone would finally be accepted for being unique instead of being shunned because of their "differences," such as being gay, straight, Black, white, Jewish, Pagan, or Christian. All people would be accepted and loved for who they are.
Money would no longer be a huge issue in society. Sure, people would have money, but it would be more equally and equitably distributed. Instead of having the extremes of poverty and great wealth, everyone would be able to live comfortably.
These are a few ideas of what I feel would be found in a utopian society.
