Gratitude
Gratitude for the friend who mentioned the word vegan in front of me two
years ago.
Gratitude for the initiative I took to find out what this alien word meant.
Gratitude for the abundance of information I found about veganism.
Gratitude for the people who devote time to providing that information.
Gratitude for the strength to be vegan in a carnivorous state.
Gratitude for the patience to explain my morals to people who want to know
but don't want to listen.
Gratitude for parents who realized, two years later, that this isn't "just a
phase."
Gratitude for the boss who buys vegan treats for me there is a party at
work.
Gratitude that a year ago I met my first real vegetarian friend.
Gratitude for the bond we share that is like no other.
Gratitude for the knowledge and guidance I am able share with the one vegan
I know.
Gratitude for my life. I hope I will find another with whom I can share all
of it.
