America Will Be, Houghton-Mifflin Social Studies, c 1991,606pp.,
grade 5 in the series, the focus is on the history of America, and
the Indian civilizations of each;
how Europeans and other immigrants explored, settled, and developed
the Americas;
how the United States emerged from this process of exploration and
settlement;
how this new nation was created by the blending of cultures and ideas
from around the world. This is wonderfully illustrated and though we
did not use it as a primary text (although it could be used as such),
we frequently referenced it for the charts, maps, and illustrations.
One of my little ones scribbled inside the covers with a marker
and on the last acknowledgement page, otherwise the pages are clean.
$5.00
Thank you for reading!
Melissa
