I would look into Missouri. There is No curriculum oversight. You have to have 1000 hours of instruction per year. 600 core hours (Reading, Math, History, Science, Language arts) and 400 other hours. 400 of any of the total 1000 hours can be done outside of your primary residence/school. For record keeping, anything that shows a few examples of the child's work and hours completed is fine. However, you never have to show these or present them to anyone unless asked to do so by a judge.

This is just my interpretation of Missouri homeschool law. We love it! :)
