I homeschooled for four years, then my children went to school due to the terms of my divorce. For three years, they attended a Sudbury school, which is ALOT like unschooling. It was fantastic to see the children thrive and grow from youngsters to teens, and to see adults learn to trust the children too. It was very empowering. I was blessed with the opportunity to substitute, so I was able to mingle and observe close-up. Also, having three children who talked on the long car rides to and from school gave added perspective. I would invite you to look over their website, the links to other sites, and the information contained therein. Although it's a school, the information on allowing children to guide their own education and the joyous results is abundant. I also know some unschoolers who have "graduated" their children. If you are interested, I could perhaps connect you via email or Facebook. Facebook is great, because you can actually see the children/young adults and how they are thriving. All the best to you!
