I suggest, based on my experience with a ADD brother in the 1960's, that this would work since he is bright enough: 1. For 3 hours a day, ban video games, computer, cell phones, TV, etc. 2. During this time, he has to read the book(s) of his choice (or, if he doesn't care, his choice of books from a list you make up), do somethimg related to math (chess games, see livingmath.com for better ideas), and write one page on the topic of his choice. 3. Failure to do so means consequences (no video games, no dessert, no trips to shop, etc. until these are done) Its strict but it worked for our family.
