Subject:	I want to Unschool but.....

I homeschool my twins that would be in 2nd grade and my youngest would be in 1st.
I really like the idea of unschooling the more and more I read about it, but I have reservations.

I'm from Ohio and I am still unclear on the laws regarding homeschooling. I mean, we have to send in a portfolio to show 'progress' but is that all they look at? Could they come test my kids and determine that I am an unfit parent if they don't have certain skills needed for their 'grade'?

I guess I am mostly terrified that I will go several years and do the unschooling approach and then find out that the boys are way behind and I have ruined their lives.....

On the other hand I know that it would be so much less stressful, more fun and exciting if they got to choose what they were learning about. I didn't have the greatest experience in public school so I know there has to be a better approach.

Anyone that can ease my fears?????
