Why does a 14 or 15 year old need to know what they want to do as "adults"? I was 24 before I decided on a first career (I am 37 and am now on my 3rd career!--and I attended public school!). I always wonder whenever a parent uses the word "motivation". usually what that means is the child isn't doing what the parent thinks they should be doing. But motivation is intrinsic--can't be forced. When they find something they are interested in--for themselves--they will do it. No worries.
