I have a teenager that we are starting to home school this year, without the normal homeschooling curriculum. I don't have any real idea how or where to start. If you have any suggestion I would appreciate the help. My grandson is starting 9th grade, for the past 3 years we have had him in Connections Academy. It is a great program it is a vurtial school which is a public school and uses the same curricum as the bricks and mortor schools in your state uses, the difference is that is done at home, and in my opinion with the best support you can get. You have one on one access with the teachers by telephone or internet. The school furnishes almost everything you need to teach the children, from textbooks to computer and printer. The reason I am not using it this year is in the state of Florida they are only approved from k through 8th grade. Now I would like to school him without a set currcuilm.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I think that unschooling may be the way to go.

Thanks Jean
