Have you ever considered sending your younger ones to a sudbury school. I think it would give them more motivation to learn if they are in a vibrant learning COMMUNITY. I have no advice about your 16 yr old getting ready for her GED but if you're intrested at all in sudbury schools you should check out if there's one around you. Here's a good site to visit if interested: http://www.sudval.org/ . I'm very sorry you're disappointed but i think in the long run they'll be fine as long as they're happy. (Just so you know i'm 13 yr old unschooler with what my friends and family call an "obssesion" of alt. edu. espesially unschooling, deschooling, sudbury schooling, free schooling, child-led learing, ect.
