Unfortunately, the term "unschooling" could frighten some people. My daughter basically schooled herself for a year by using a reading list for the college bound. She read many of the "classics" and wrote essays about them, plus she had a tutor for math, took the GED, a few college classes online, etc. - and that's what she did for a year. Here's an idea - how about approaching this on a "trial" basis? One year. Nothing is written in stone, just TRY it for one year.
