I actually did this 'course' when I was in highschool. I'm now 30, so
that was a bit ago. The book/study takes Proverbs 31 and breaks it
down into a small study based on each verse. The idea is that you
memorize the chapter as you do the "work".

The things that you do are based on the verse, or part of the verse,
that you are currently learning. Each week/unit comes with a long
list of things you can do.

When I was using it, Mom would preview each section before I did
it. Then she'd either tell me to select x amount of things to do, or
she might circle ones she wanted me to accomplish. I was given a
set amount of time to have it done in.

At the same time we were doing FAR we were using a business mathematics program. For the life of me I've no idea what it was
called. Maybe someone else will know.. The long and short of the
math course was that you were "given" a set amount of money each
month (this is all fictional, and fictional checks are written out to
the child doing the math) Then from that I had to write out checks
to "pay" my water, food, etc.

The course gave you set amounts to pay each month, and they'd
have certain little unexpecteds pop up. The idea of the course was
to teach the student how to balance a check book, use a bank
account, write checks, etc.

As I recall I enjoyed both..
