Thanks for the encouragement. We ended up shelving the 1st grade. I was using a different LA program, decided to wait on maturity for math, and Dad was going through Balancing the Sword and other Bible story books throught the OT. So the 1st grade was kind of mimicking all that. Now we are doing Adventures and enjoying it. I purchased extra book basket books from Beautiful Feet. Looks like a fun year even though we're still struggling with writing and math. His spelling is great, though! Glad to still be on board with MFW.
