Yes- more interesting.

But still has that great light and fun feel.

(Be sure to not skip the activities- school gets boring quick if you do that! AND you'll burn out)

Don't worry about the struggling- first grade takes a while to catch on with many children.
Especially the writing and phonics.
When your child wakes up one day and all the sudden "gets it" you will see what I mean. It will click!!

In the mean time just teach them to LOVE to learn and not make school a crying session.
