This is the same grade as my daughter is entering. I've been enjoying the huge range of unit studies available online, surprised at how inexpensive they are! I bought this set recently: http://www.hln-store.com/servlet/Detail?no=440 so that we can pick & choose, but I really recommend going to one of the sites (like this one) that offers lots of individual unit studies, and sitting down with your child to choose one together. I think it's great when they can have choices about what they're studying. Also, we're incorporating lots of lapbooking & such with our unit studies, so that we have fun with it, and in the end, we have a great little memento of each major topic we've covered. (o:
