Does anyone have a good idea for teaching and 11 year old girl about weight control? My dd misunderstands that eating a salad doesn't cancel the calories in ice cream. I want to teach her about calories and fat grams but I'm worried about her feeling obsessive. I would rather her be chubby than anorexic. At 11 she is 5'1" and 130 lbs, she is going to be tall so she has time to grow into her weight but evertyime she goes to the Dr she has gained. I don't forbid food but would rather she learn to make better decisions without me making her decisions for her.
