We are using 7th Grade and loving every minute of it. My dd has used ABeka from day 1 and 5th and 6th grade was becoming very frustrating for her. Since we switched, she now runs downstairs every morning and the first subject she wants to do is Math. We went from tears to happiness.
The program begins with a short interactive lecture, then you do 4 practice problems which you may attempt twice, on the third time it shows you step by step how to solve the problem, then the lesson has about 20 problems for you to solve. All in all a lesson takes 30 minutes.
The program has given my dd her confidence back and she is making all A's.
There is very little for the parent to do. Everything is on the cd and the program even checks the quizzes for you and records the grades in the gradebook for you.
