I have a 12 year old that has to switch back and forth from his dad's to my house. He lives 3 weeks at each. We have been using Sonlight, but I hear nothing but gripes from his dad about all the reading. I've done Learning Adventures, but that didn't work because of all the hands on. Plus..he's getting older and I contacted learning adventures, and it doesn't look like they will be writing further volumes in the near future. Amanda Bennett looks intriguing, but wouldn't there be gaps? Christian cottage, too looks good, but not sure how it would work with his dad. It covers 4 years, then what would I do? I am a very veteran homeschooler; I have a 20 yr old, but SHE didn't have this problem of a split house my younger is having. I do not want to resort to text books, yuck! Any suggestions?
