If it was a problem for me, I would make a rule for myself that I
could not eat any of it, period. No question about it. Never. I would
not allow any self-talk about it, either.
I would consider it perfectly off-limits since I am leading a new life
now. That would be considered a part of my old life, which I do not
want to continue.
Does that help at all? As long as there is a thought in your mind
about eating any, you will be tempted and will give in sometimes.
There are foods I just had to make absolutely off limits completely
because they weaken my will overall, long term. I consider them to
be dangerous foods.
We are adults who have control over ourselves. We are not
mindless and without wills. We can decide to eat the junk or not to
eat the junk. Ask yourself if the weight struggle is worth feeding
your addiction for a fleeting moment. I mean, the chocolate is
good for a few minutes, but the damage lasts much longer, doesn't
it?
