We are fortunate to have ac in our room & can also cool dd9's. We also have one on main floor. I try not to use them, but when it's 80+ in the house. They get turned on. Amazing how I can think 78 with fans going is so much cooler. I have tried the baked chips & love them. I'm learning the past few years that if I eat anything with soy in it that I get really bad headaches. Especially the soy protein & soy lecithin. I don't have to overeat it either. I know it has to do with my hormone levels of estrogen & progesteren. It throws them off. I had a lot of headaches years ago when older dc were little. I always thought they came after a very busy time & I was exhausted. When I was 3months along with youngest dd, I had the same headaches. A woman in our church had been reading up on hormones & said that my progesteren was too low. I had at one time saw my dr who thought the headaches were cycle related, but they weren't always. They weren't really migraines either except that if I didn't lay down & rest immediately it would escalate till I emptied my body of everything from both ends at one time. :-( After I had dd9, I bought a progesteren (I know I'm not spelling it right. I just can't figure it out tonight. LOL) creme & tried it. My body didn't react well at first so I put it in the cupboard. A couple years later I knew my hormones were changing again & started having the headaches. I got the creme back out & used it on the back of my neck (we have hormones right at the base of our heads) with tylenol/ibuprophen. It worked. I used it only when I needed it. Now I use it a little more, but I can tell when I need it & when I don't. It's called "Happy PMS" creme. LOL I don't really have pms symptoms either. I also bought the book "What You Dr won't tell you about Pre-Menopause". I wrote all this so if Mary sees this she might be interested in this for her headaches and to say that baked chips have soy. Most chips do & most candies do & crackers. I'm amazed that almost everything has some soy in it. I have always looked at labels, but never thought I'd have to look for soy. I can eat some, but really have to pay attention to my body. I seem to have a lot more headaches on Mon. also so I know that exhaustion does play a role also. This should be a good case for me to give up chips & candy, but I'm a slow learner. (not the brightest crayon in the box sometimes! LOL) When I stay away from junk food my hormones change & most of the time I don't have as many headaches. Another good incentive. I need to get back to more water. I do like it if it's very cold & purified. Keep working towards your goals ladies. We'll make it even if it's slower than we'd like. Thanks for the encouragement. I slept better last night (from exhaustion I think and your prayers) :-)) but feel more stressed again tonight. I still have to pack to go to dd22's to move them tomorrow. We also have people coming into the daycare to observe us tomorrow & for some reason It's got me stressed. That's not normal. Please pray that all goes well. This visit hinges on us getting into a program that would bring more money in & hopefully give us pay raises as well as other advantages. I'll be praying for you also. Shelli
