They all eventually switched direction with formal handwriting practice. Our oldest son is left-handed and we switched him from italic to Handwriting Without Tears. It worked like a charm....loved it! Will be using it with my two little boys as well. Actually, I'm still working with my 6yob to "go the other way" LOL. 4 yob just started writing, drawing and he is doin' it too ;o) Really,I wouldn't worry to much. Just gently encourage your little one.
