Dear all, Two weeks ago, I began homeschooling a mildly autistic 14 yo boy. I am a little confused as to what kind of curriculum to use with him. He had been told since preschool that he couldn't do, wouldn't be, and shouldn't try like his peers. I want to help him feel educational success but don't want to patronize him with something baby-ish. He seems to be working at about a 4th grade level but at the middle school was in a pre-ALgebra class even though he can't do his math facts. I struggle to know how hard to push him. Any ideas? TIA
