My son has sensory issues and a preliminary autism spectrum diagnosis, and my daughter has SPD as well. My son has been VERY successful with a spin of Montessori style teaching. In a typical preschool setting, circle times and group activities were difficult for him to say the least but the self lead Montessori idea gave him the freedom to excel in the things he is good at and made him feel comfortable to learn the things he's not so thrilled about. Music and such has been an effective tool for both of my kids. My main advice though would be to take it slow. There's no hurry with homeschooling- you don't have to homeschool for 6 hours a day religiously...take it day by day. If you can get 8 hours in on one day and a half hour the next, go with it! It's not a crime to be less structured. Keep things pretty mellow and keep a journal of her progress and pinpoint her interests and the styles that work best for her and if you can, try to find creative ways to implement those into the next "subject" so she can be successful.
