I wonder if you've heard of Math On the Level? It is a new (1 year old) curriculum. It begins in preschool level and ends in pre-algebra (FYI: where we live, 8th grade math is = pre-algebra).

We have had very similar issues with saxon and found MOTL and love it. I wish it was written years ago.

Some others we were considering: Paces and BJU and Lifepacs*--all are remedial and simple (not spiraling, which never worked with our d)

*I am least familiar with this one.
