I was hoping to get more input here regarding special needs social
groups, or even some folks in Central Fl looking for the same (so
we can hang out in small groups).

Everywhere we go my older son talks to everyone...and then we
never see them again...it is so sad. He has no friends to talk about.
We do belong to special needs soccer and baseball. It is over for
the season right now, but even then when it is on...those folks do
not maintain friendships all week, we only see these kids on the
weekend. There is no commaraderie here. I have taken Parents
numbers, and they never stay in touch.

I am a mom of 3 special needs kids. My youngest is somewhere on
the spectrum as well, more speech delays than the oldest and my
daughter is bipolar and ADD.

Thank you for your response, I am sorry it took so long. I adopted
the 2 younger ones in '07, and I forgot to check back here on this
post.
