Im in central Florida hsing a 7 year old with Asperger's syndrome .We have had the same type of problems you descibe . Ive found that my son does well in the library so we go in the afternoons when other kids are there .It has worked very well for us since its generally quieter , contained and more structured . Another good place is the Y . There are lots of programs to choose from and the setting is structured .The museum is great too . Many of the area museums and zoos have special 'homeschool " programs where there are just a few other kids and a more structured environment . Im in ormond by the sea drop me a line if youd like :)
