We did the Audiblox program for 11 months (1 hour per day, 5 days a week) when my son was 7 years old. He was really struggling with learning to read and write, even after I tried Reading Reflex and then Spalding (reading programs). While doing the Audiblox program, he did show improvements with the exercises, but it was not enough to fully remediate his academic problems. (He is now 11 and is working at about a grade 4 level.) I do believe that my son would be working at an even lower level if we had not done the program -- the memory and reading exercises helped. Looking back, I realize that my mistake was that I underestimated the need for him to do the language part of that program (which we didn't do). This probably would have helped him the most, since having good language skills is foundational to academic learning.

It is not a quick fix, but if done properly, it will help.
