I am now remarried and don't post here often, but I saw this and thought I'd answer you. When I was a single parent homeschooler, I cleaned houses and I brought the kids and their work with me. They also had to learn to read the lesson and do their work. Don't try to "do school" at home. If you teach them basic math and to read really really well then they can teach themselves anything they need to or want to. Then you can try to get them to read and write about things that interest them. You are in a tough place and your dh is probably depressed about not having a job which makes things harder also. A single parent has to lean on God minute by minute and so will you and your dh. When you do you will see miracles in all areas of your life, not just homeschooling. HTH
