Well, I started the homeschooling and things were going great for a while...The past few weeks, my 16 year old has done no school work. So when I came home today, I told him that he was going to have to get caught up or that he would be grounded until he caught it up and stayed on track for a week. He snapped and turned into somebody I don't know. He told me that he was moving with his father and if I changed my attitude, he'd consider moving back home. I advised him that I was the parent and he was the child and that this is MY home and that ultimatums like that would not work and told him that if HE changes HIS attitude, I'll consider letting him come back. Am I a bad mother? What do I do about homeschooling? Do I need to call the school board and let them know that he's no longer being homeschooled? I'm not sure if tough love is the right thing in this situation, but I've tried everything else. I sure would appreciate any advice.
