I make a living as a writer and proofreader - hard fields to break into. A friend who knew I needed work and knew my strengths clued me in to this job. But before that I was doing typesetting and business correspondence at home for a couple of small businesses. Some single moms clean homes, babysit, work at office-type jobs at night or all weekend long, are midwives, crossing guards, um - I knew one years ago before she moved away who was a professional photographer. that's all I can think of right now. It's best to focus on your strengths and build a job around them if possible. Then you will enjoy your work and be a happier momma for your family!
