Hi Katie, You can do whatever God has called you to do. He won't give you a job and not provide the tools you need! He has met every need I've had in my prodigal's absence, and He will meet yours too.

This is my 10th year homeschooling, and my 8th as a single parent, though I too am not single by choice. My husband walked out, and then 3 years later he made the 6 o'clock news for a crime he committed! He finally got around to divorcing me last spring. So I haven't been treated as an outcast; my friends are still my friends. Also, many people that I meet don't realize that I'm not half of a couple - I don't advertise it. Most homeschool outings are made up of moms and kids anyway, with an occasional father showing up, so you shouldn't feel uncomfortable participating. Continue wearing your wedding band if you like.
