Hi everyone, I just came across this site and looks wonderful so I am marking it in my favorites... I am currently homeschooling my 13 year old son after years of frustration with the school system here. He is not at the grade level he should be at and instead of getting him the help he needs the schools answer was to just push him harder to get caught up. That would have been fine if he just didn't want to do the work but he was tested by an outside source and the results show that he learns in a different manor (he is a very visualistic learner). Anyway, I know this is long but my question is...Does anyone know if I am legally obligated to inform the non-custodial parent of my decision to homeschool? I know that if he requests his school records he is legally entitled to them but he has never been involved in his schooling. I know that he would not understand homeschooling and this could cause a problem. Any answers would be greatly appreciated...
