Man, I can imagine how you feel. How old are they? If they are too young to be home in the evening alone while you work a night job, you'd still have to get child care. Are they in just a really huge school? That can be overwhelming in itself - I just inherited 2 great kids from a cousin who passed away. They're the greatest gift I could imagine but we're having tough adjustment problems. Besides grieving their mom and having to move to a new place they came from a small, close knit school, and the schools around here are enormous. I am in the process of developing some work-at-home income. It will be a little while yet before I can let go of my job totally. But at that point we'l be able to decide between totally homeschooling, or private school; at least for now, I am able to do some extra stuff with them. They are glad I am going to be working at home so at least they will have some options and also won't have to go to school sick if I can't get a sick day!
