WOW, congrats for even thinking of taking control of your kids education back! ((HUGS)) I am a single homeschooling mom of 13 years! My oldest will graduate from high school this year! They have never been in public school and I have always been single during this time! WOO HOO what fun! Support Support Support is the key! Get with a good HS support group in your area! They will be oodles of help! Financially, I opted to have jobs that I worked in the late afternoons early evening, so that I was home during the day with the kids. You dont say how old your kids are, so its hard to give good, sound, helpful, advice. My view on this was, that being home with my kids right now for this short time in their lives was far more important than the money I wouldve earned in a more traditional job role. I sacrificed the corporate career highs (or is that lows? ;) for the highs of seeing my kids learn, and just being with them while growing up. Yes, I gave up a lot, no vacations or new cars or manicures blah blah blah, but in the long run, those things are not important, the kids are worth the sacrifice. On avg, I work about 30 hours a week. I work for a company now where the pay is so - so but offers excellent benefits for their part time employees. (Lowes, great company to work for!) I hope you are a bit more encouraged, Ill keep ya in more prayers!
