I'm on my lunch break and it's pouring rain outside, so I'm spending it here at my computer.

Just some thoughts on family and stuff...

I no longer have difficulty distinguishing between my oldest daughter and my son on the phone...he's definitely got a deeper voice than her OR me. This happened rather suddenly, but we all knew it was coming. He actually sort of enjoyed the process because we discussed "changes" well in advance, and I told him how exciting it is to grow up. He didn't have any embarrassment when his voice squeaked and we all got a kick out of it. The doctor says he'll be 6' 2" by this time next year!

I was watching my "baby" jump rope yesterday with her braids bouncing on her back as she carefully counted each jump. She's still so little and so sweet, and she's the last of my babies. She'll be seven in September, and her baby years are just rushing away TOO fast! Part of me wants to just grab her and hold her to keep her from growing into a gangly teenager too quickly.

My oldest daughter is making such great progress in all areas of her life. She had a real job this summer and actually earned $900 working at the Girl Scout Camp. She very wisely put $500 of it into her Philmont fund (her crew is planning a Philmont Trek in July 2007) and saved some and blew some. I'd have been worried, I think, if she hadn't blown any. She's working totally on her own in school, and at the current rate, will be ready to graduate in the spring of 2007. She'll be sixteen on August 24th.

My middle daughter will be 11 in November and is getting so tall. She's going into sixth grade and is doing great in school. It's great to see her progress.

I am enjoying the children so much and think I can't possibly enjoy another stage as much, then they prove me wrong and I enjoy them even more.

I'd love to hear what is going on with all of ya'll as well. Ang, how is the new baby?

Blessings!

Priscilla
:-)
