Subject:         It's mother/daughter week at my house!
Date: July 12, 2006 at 7:08 am PST

My "disruptive behavior disorder" son is gone to camp this week, so my 13-year-old daughter and I are making the most of our time alone. So far we have gone for pedicures, we've seen a dollar movie, we've eaten out, got half-priced drinks at Sonic, and browsed at the mall and found a few amazing bargains! I looked in her diary (it was on the dining room floor) and she wrote that I rock out of this world! hehehe. We've also been working on improving her language arts grade while we have peace and quiet and uninterrupted time. She turned an F into a B this morning! I'm so happy!

We plan to eat out one more time, do some girly crafts, bake some peach muffins, play a game, and set off some firecrackers. Oh, and rearrange her room once we sort through her stuff and get rid of all she doesn't use, want, or need. Her brother will return on Saturday, and chaos will reign in our home once again. (SIGH) Until then, we've got stuff to do!

This may be the highlight of my summer. What's the highlight of yours?
