Dear Christine,

I am in a similar situation here in Cincinnati. My ex wife shares the qualities of your ex husband. I love my daughter, who is 2 years old, and wish to educate her myself, and/or with the mother. I have no issue with the idea of sharing responsibility in the effort/task. My fear is that legally she will push for public education so that she can hurt my efforts to be as involved as possible as a father, or to have her reside with her so that I may have less time with her. She has never hesitated to take me to court over minor issues and always fights for full custody, if just to cause emotional and financial distress. If you find anything about legal rights of divorced parents who wish to homeschool children, or could advise or direct me to a source that has helped you, please let me know.

Chris
