in most sstates, "homeschool" refers to parents teachign their own children. If you are not the parent, teaching requires credentials; you are in effect setting up a school and would be subject to teh same regulations as regular schools. You could, however, again depending on your credentials, work as a tutor, either on your own or for a compnay like Sylvan. What subjects would you feel best equipped to tutor? do you nned to go back and update your konwledge in any of them (most fields change over time)? or, do you want to specialize, in say, tutoring study skills or writing skills? Most kids cannot write for beans, and if you can teach them that, you've done wonders right there. Test prep? that's a very big area these days. I know, not my favorite thing either, but kids do need to score on the SAT/SCT to get into college, and there is a big need for help.
