my husbands ex uses homeschooling as an excuse for not working. She never has had a job, doesn't want to get one, she wants to stay off "the grid" pay no taxes, etc. The fact that she has to get a job to support herself after child support ends, frightens her to no end. She has not "graduated" her last son to extend the child support. Please don't do this. We get along wonderfully. She is very frightened to have to support herself. We have paid child support plus extra throughout the years. He hasn't been over on the weekends for visitation because he is trying to finish his chemistry work. We have asked how the work is going, he said fine. Now he is behind. Please don't cheat your kids out of a decent education to continue child support. This is a loophole and so unfair to my husband. He hasn't seen his son since Christmas due to his chemistry homework. My God, she's his teacher!! And has been for his entire education. And she just noticed he's behind. It totally breaks my heart.
