I totally undrstand, I have no family or anyone to count on for help either. Anyway--if your son is well behaved, don't worry about what others think, he's old enough to say "My mom is taking classes here"...maybe speak to the librarian about it so they know he'll be there/or get permission from them. Another idea I had was, do you have any teenagers in church or neighborhood who need to accumulate community service hours? Maybe they'd stay with him in exchange for some sort of certificate from you saying how many hours of service they did. I know some public schools require community service, and it looks good on a homeschool transcript as well.
