I have avoided applying for government assistance for the last couple of years, but I am thinking that I am going to have no choice in the matter. Is anyone here on some type of assistance and if so did you have a hard time receiving benefits. Once you get them are you basically left alone? Just curious, I really don't want to deal with government officials checking up on me every week!
