We tried Real Science for Kids for our oldest. It was very easy. In fact, too easy. I found myself wondering why it seemed so "watered down". As there is a significant age gap in between our oldest and the next one, we have some time to look into a different science curriculum or develop something that will work for us by the time we need it again. We recently used Apologia General Science and were much more pleased. As our oldest is also a Boy Scout, we often have used the Merit Badge Pamphlets as supplementary materials to help guide him along in more detailed areas. It has worked out well for now.
