My 13 ds is using CTT now. He is a very independent kid and so far has enjoyed it. He likes working on his own and that is pretty much how the courses are designed. I feel a little detached from the process with it, but maybe he's just at that age now.

The content is pretty rigorous and I like the emphasis on critical thinking. He finds it adequately challenging and he's a pretty bright kid.

I can say my younger kids (including my 12 ds) would not be successful with it, simply because they need/want a more interactive and hands on experience. CTT does not offer that.
