We are using the K12 program for 7th grade (through a virtual academy--so in my state he is still considered to be in public school). We just started in the middle of the year, so to catch up, my son is just doing unit tests on everything that he has already covered. We've been brought up pretty much to current by doing that for the 1st two weeks or so. I suspect he will actually be done with the year before the end of the semester. You can also go through the summer as well, if that is what it takes. I like the fact that we can skip over stuff he's already done, though.
