I have two daughters that I have used oak meadow with. My first daughter who is now 17 used oak meadow for 1st grade a long time ago. We ended up just using parts of the curriculum then. We tried again with her in ninth grade. She really did not like it. The text books were pretty dry. The highschool is not nearly as cool as the primary grades oak meadow. It seems to have moved away from the Waldorf approach. So, with one daughter oak meadow did not work in either 1st or 9th grades.
We tried it also with my second daughter. Because I guess that I always just thought oak meadow seemed really nice and I wanted it to work.. THis daughter did 7th grade and loved it then went on to do 8th grade and loved it too. We did not use oak meadow math but, instead used saxon math.
I think basically it depends on the child as to whether this is a good curriculum. The lessons are given for an entire week, they don't break down assignments by the day, which was hard at first but ended up being really good to teach organization and time management. I am once again using parts of the 1st grade curriculum with my 3rd daughter. I hope this was helpful!
