I am homeschooling because of behavioral problems and I have a highly unmotivated 14 year old son. I have ordered the Oak Meadow curriculum but am finding that I am having to go back and teach him a lot of the basics all over again, which I think explains his lack of motivation in P.S. It amazes me that with his level of learning they have passed him through the system to the 7th grade and only held him back once!!!! Everyone always assured me that the bad grades were a result of suspensions and behavior punishments where his work wasn't getting done. Turns out he hardly learned anything!!!! I now face the challenge of bringing him up to speed and trying to advance so he doesn't fall further behindhis age group.Sorry not really a question just venting.
