Subject:	good curriculum for struggling 8th grader

Hi everyone. My step sister called me yesterday and wanted my advice about a curriculum for her 8th grade step-daughter. They are getting custody of her and she is failing all of her classes so they are planning to homeschool her. My sister can't dedicate a great deal of time to teaching - mostly time in the evenings - so the child would have to be able to do a lot of the work on her own and she hates to use computers. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
