We homeschool 40 weeks per school year, so I just divide the number of pages/lessons in a book by 40 to determine how many need to be done in a week. You can also divide the pages/lessons by the number of days (here it's 180) to determine how many to do per day. This gives me a gauge throughout the year so I can see if we're "ahead" or "behind" my schedule.
