Hi,

I am there. My son graduated last year, and my daughter graduated this year. They both started college this year. My son is going to a local technical college studying computers. My daughter is going to a local university. They are both doing well and very happy with their choices. Both of mine have special needs + Learning disabilities. My son has Asperger's Syndrome/ADHD/ and math LD. My daughter has ADHD and LD's in math and reading. She is loving college life. She has her first math quiz today. It is so bittersweet to see them trying out their wings and beginning to fly. I am so proud of their accomplishments and stunned that I am done homeschooling.

I have started a new adventure. I am offering group and private tutoring to the local home school community. The group classes start September 1. I will be teaching two Spanish classes, a poetry class, and Health class (bones and joints). I am very excited about this new chapter of my life. I also have 5 private tutoring students. I think this is a way to stay connected to the home school community, make some money, and give back to the community.

There is life after home-schooling! You just have to decide where you go from here. I chose to open an academy of learning (part time for now). I am very excited about all the new students that I will have this term. Feel free to contact me, if you have any questions, comments, or ideas.
