I don't know of any boards for empty-nesters. There are homeschool boards that have areas for general chit-chat, hobby discussions, book discussions, etc. I tried to post a couple of links, but this site wouldn't let me do that. You really should try to develop relationships in your community. How about doing volunteer work? Perhaps you could join a couple local community organizations. Is there anything that you could get involved in at church? There are plenty of lonely people in nursing homes who would love to have someone visit them on a regular basis.
